Thou didst leave Thy throne and Thy kingly crown
When Thou camest to earth for me;
But in Bethlehem's home was there found no room 
For Thy holy nativity,
O come to my heart, Lord Jesus
There is room in my heart for Thee!


A silent night, A holy night and all was calm.
The stars shone round the mother and child.
Glories were streaming from heaven afar.
Heavenly hosts singing alleluia.

The Son of God, Love's holy light.
Radiant beams shone from Thy holy face,

What can I give Him, poor as I am.
